Library books:

More Great Good Dairy-free Desserts by Fran Costigan. The recipes in this books are not only dairy-free but egg-free. I can't wait to try something but since it's in interlibrary loan I only have it until 12-4-07 - I guess I better find something that appeals to Luke and get at it soon!

Speak Through The Wind by Allison Pittman. I'm looking forward to getting to this on, I read her first one (I got it from PaperbackSwap) and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one.

A Sister's Secret by Wanda Brunstetter. One of my favorite authors...I read the book in 2 days! The first in the Sisters of Holmes County series.

The Little Sparrows and All My Tomorrows by Al & Joanna Lacy. Books one and two in The Orphan Train Trilogy. After checking these out I realized that I have already read these but they were so good I may just read them over again! Rebecca might enjoy these because of her recent interest in the Orphan Trains. Though they are fiction they really give you a glimpse of what it might have been like for these dear lost children.

Ending the Food Fight Guide Your Child to a Healthy Weight in a Fast Food/Fake Food World by David Ludwig, M.D., Ph. D. My kids are ALWAYS hungry - they can eat breakfast and be hungry a half an hour later...I found a review for this book in a parenting mag. a the dr. office so I thought I would give it a try and see if I can get the kids - and us - eating healthier.

A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah. I have been interested in the history of Sudan lately so I found this book and thought I'd try it out.

Ellie, Rbecca, and Rachel by Mary Christner Borntrager. Books 1, 2, and 3 of the Ellie's People series. I originally got these books for Jozie but they are more for junior high age girls so I will probably read them and put them away for her to read in a couple of years.

Even Now and Ever After by Karen Kingsbury. I must say that right now Karen would be my favorite author. I fell in love with the Baxter Family from her Redemption, Firstborn and Sunrise series' and didn't stop reading her books from there. More on Ever After to come.

The Bread Machine Cookbook III by Donna Rathmell German. My bread machine sits neglected due to the lack of a good cookbook full of recipes begging to be tried so I thought this would be a good time to dust it off and get it out...nothing is better in the winter than warm homemade bread.

One Tuesday Morning and Beyond Tuesday Morning by Karen Kingsbury. Books one and 2 in the 911 series.

From a summer garage sale:

Sophie's Heart by Lori Wick. This is the first book that I have read by this author. I have not been disappointed. I will be hitting the Paperbackswap titles to see what else I can find by her that looks exciting! Oh...Marge (my MIL) paid 75 cents for this book and read it in 2 days and passed it on to me.

Most of my PaperbackSwap books will be taking a trip to Marge until she's finished with them - except for my bread machine book - and when I get them back from her I will be reposting them on PaperbackSwap.

On My Nightstand:

Creative Correction by Lisa Welechel. With all the fighting and such that my kids have been doing lately I have decided to pull this book out and dust it off if for nothing more than reference when I quickly need a creative idea in discipline and correction. Awesome book, one EVERY parent should have in their library!
